I have a scholastic chess training column at Chessville. In this column, I show six different mates, demonstrating different mating patterns students should know. All are mates in one to four moves. Next are three basic endgame positions, teaching basics like the opposition, pawn breakthrough, etc. I finished up this month’s column with five common questions from parents and coaches, asking about such things as blitz chess, opening advice, and internet play. Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Such a cute girl! How old is she?
She is only 2 and a force to be reckoned with in the future. Her older brothers (who are watching) are both in the Top 50 in the country for their ages and her mom has been very supportive of their interest in chess. By the way, on behalf of Austin, it was wonderful having Susan visit our city.
