1…Q:f2+ 2. R:f2 Rf:f2 3. Re8+ Kf7 4. R:c8 R:g2+ and eventually black will win the white Q for a R, emerging with a clearly won R+P ending.
Probably not the solution, but certainly winning is:
1. Qxf2+ Rxf2
2. Rxf2 Re8+
(What else? White is threatening a mate using the two rooks and the bishop. Even Qxa5, preventing Ba6+ check loses)
3. Kf7 Rxc8
4. Rxg2+ Kh1
5. Rh2+ Kg1
6. Rg2+ Kf1
7. Rh1+ Kxg2
8. Rxa1 Rxc7
9. Ke7 0-1
I feel like I am overlooking something better, but I think Qf2 is enough to win clearly in this position:
1. …..Qf2
2. Rf2 Rff2!
And now black is threatening Rxg2 along with Bb7/a6 and a quick mate. The point is that black can force the king onto f1 if white tries a move like 3.Qb1 guarding b7. I don’t see a good defense to these threats, though white can bail out into a lost ending:
3. Qe5 Bb7!
Black retains an edge with 3. …Rg2? and the ending I see is black with a B+4P vs R+2P, but I don’t know if it is decisive. Bb7 is much stronger:
4. Kh1
No better is 4.Qe8: [4.Qe8 Rf8 5.Re2 Re8-+]. Of course, white can block at e4 with the rook, but black has a decisive endgame just giving up the bishop for the rook at e4 before or after capturing at g2. Continuing:
4. …..Bg2!
5. Kg1
Or [5.Kh2 Bd5 6.Kg3 Rg2 and mate will follow soon enough]. Continuing:
5. …..Bc6
6. Rb1
What else is better now that the g-pawn is gone? Continuing:
6. …..h6
Not sure this is best, but takes the issue of the black king’s safety off the table, and does so effectively:
7. Qc7
Or [7.Rb1 Kh7 8.Qd4 Rg2 with mate in another two moves no matter if white plays Kh1 or Kf1]. Continuing:
7. …..Rg2
8. Kf1
Mate otherwise. Continuing:
8. …..Rh2 and white will have to give up the rook or the queen just prevent Rh1#.
So, did white have a better defense at move 3? I think he can either check from e8 or play Kh1 immediately. Let’s look at both moves:
1. …..Qf2
2. Rf2 Rff2
3. Re8 Kf7
4. Rc8
Interesting is Re7: [4.Re7 Ke7 5.Qg7 Ke6 6.Qg8 Kf5 7.Qc8 Rg2 8.Kf1 Rgf2 9.Ke1 Ke4 and I think black wins this, but it is too complicated to for me to be sure, which probably means it is white’s best defense. Continuing:
4. …..Rg2
5. Kh1 Rh2
6. Kg1 Rcg2
7. Kf1 Rh1 (Ra2 better or not?)
8. Kg2 Ra1
9. Rc7 Ke6
10.c6 dc6
Now, you tell me- can black win this or not? A problem within a problem.
Finally, at move three:
3. Kh1 Bb7 (keeping the pressure)
4. Qa4
Or [4.Rg1? Rg2 5.Rg2 Rg2 and white’s queen will find nowhere to hide from the discovered check that is coming]. Continuing:
4. …..Bg2
5. Kg1 Bh3
6. Qb3 Be6!
7. Qb8 Rf8
8. Qc7 a4
I think black is ahead, but not sure of it. This is why I question whether I have found the best line. Am pretty sure I am overlooking something much easier for black, but I have no clue what it might be.
This is a tough one.
Qxf2
QXF2
1. Rc1-a2

Perhaps:
1…Ra2.
If White captures the Queen on e2, Black takes white’s Q with check, and remains a piece and a passed pawn up. After White moves his K out of check, Black plays Kf8, and now White’s back-rank threat of picking up the White Bishop with check has disappeared.
Ra2!
Suppose easy for a 2600 in a rapid esp a piece and pawn up!?!
Try 1….Ra2
(BQ can’t move away without B being mated.)
if 2.Qxa2 Qxe1+
3. Kh2 Qe6
if 1….RxQ
2.Rxa1+ Kh2
3.Rxf3
if 2.Qc3 Rxf3
and Q swop.
Don’t think 1….Qxf2+ works.

1. … Ra2 2. Qb1 Rb2 3. Qc1 Rc2 4. Qb1 leads to a draw but:
1. … Qxf2+! 2. Rxf2 Rfxf2 wins!
If:
3. Re8+ Kf7 4. Rxc8 Rxg2+ 5. Kh1 Rh2+ 6. Kg1 Rcg2+ 7. Kf1 Ra2 and black wins the resulting endgame.
If:
3. Kh1 Bb7 and there is no way to stop the 2 rook + bishop machinery.
1……Qxf2ch will win.
Seems to be a draw.
1..Ra2 2. Qb1 Rb2 3. Qc1 Rc2 4. Qa1 Ra2
How about: Qxf2+
Rxf2 R7xf2
Re8+ Kf7
Rxc8 Not sure if this is winning. But black has at least a perpetual check. Or can go to a rook ending with a passed “A” pawn.
…. Rxg2+
Kh1(Or f1 doesn’t really matter) Rh2+
Kg1 Rcg2+
Kf1 Rh1+
Kxg2 Rxa1
I think this ending favors black.
