MINSK, 15 July (BelTA) – Women’s World Chess Cup, which has been postponed, will take place in Minsk in 2021, BelTA learned from the official website of the International Chess Federation (FIDE).

In early July FIDE announced the postponement of the tournament from 2020 to April 2021 given an additional agreement is signed with the organizers.

In October 2018 Belarus got the right to host the World Chess Olympiad in 2022 and the FIDE Congress, the Women’s World Chess Cup in 2020 and the Men’s World Chess Cup in 2021.
