Stay tune for a major announcement this Saturday at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. I will be giving the commencement speech to about 25,000-30,000 people. At that time, a major announcement will be made followed by a press conference for the media including the national media. The commencement speech will be covered on TV by CSPAN. All I can tell you right now is this has never been done anywhere in the world. This will be an incredible event for chess and it will make a big impact for the entire chess community. I can’t wait to hear the good news. I remember Mr. Hal Bogner was making fun of Mr. Truong when he talked about this in the USCF forums. He said that he didn’t believe it. I wonder if Mr. Bogner is man enough to apologize now. I doubt it. I don’t expect much from anyone who publishes private, personal and confidential communications with others. How low! He lost my trust forever. Anyway, congratulations and good luck with the election!

So you will be at the Nationals in TN and Texas?
Susan will give several commencement speeches at the undergraduate ceremonies on Saturday May 12th. The first will be at 9 am and the second around 1:30 pm. These will be held in Tech’s basketball court – the United Spirit Arena – a beutiful facility. The main announcements will come at the morning commencement were we expect C-SPAN will be filming. The speech will be available on the C-SPAN website but I am sure that Tech will provide a link as well as some of the regular chess sites.
Will Susan be available to the public Saturday at some time after the commencements?
