Gross Master Topalov Started with Victory the ‘Amber ‘ Championship

Bulgarian world champion veselin Topalov started with victory his participation on the international chess tournament ‘Amber’ in Monaco.

The first ‘blindfold’ party Topalov won the Hungarian Peter Leko, and in the second party rapid chess Topalov finished with even game against the Hungarian gross-master.

That’s how Topalov won the mini-match against Peter Leko with 1:5:0,5 points.

The ‘Amber’ tournament by tradition consists of mini-matches of two parties – one blindfold and one in rapid chess party.

Part in this year’s tournament in Monte Carlo, except the Bulgarian champion, take also the world champion Viswanathan Anand (India), ex-world champion Vladimir Kramnik (Russia), Peter Leko(Hungary), Alexander Morozevich (Russia), Shahriar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan) and others.
