Kateryna Lahno of Ukraine just won the 2014 Women’s World Rapid Championship! She also won the Women’s World Blitz Championship in 2010.
Only 3 women in history have won world titles in multiple formats. I won the World Rapid and Blitz Championships in 1992, and the World Classical Championship in 2006. Antoaneta Stefanova won the World Classical Championship in 2004 and World Rapid Championship in 2012.
