The KnightMare Chess Teams conquered both the 12 and 14 and Under sections in the 2007 Junior Chess Congress.
The fist place teams (in alphabetical order) consisted of:
14 and Under Section: Sriharsha Chandupatla, Alexandria L. Claar, Brianna Conley, Nivetha Pandian
12 and Under Section: Anneliese Gest, Andrew L. Granato, Ian Maurer, Timothy Toole, Charity Tootle, Srikar Varadaraj
The 2007 Jr. Chess Congress was smaller in size but had much stronger players.
The 14 and Under Chess Learn MVP award went to Nivetha Pandian (Study Girl) and the 10 and Under MVP award was shared by the sister and brother team of Charity L. Tootle (the assassin) and Ryan Toole.
Although the official individual results are not posted, eight KnightMare’s won trophies. More details as I receive the actual places won.
The two first place finished earns the KnightMare Chess Club an all-you-can-eat pizza party . . . But wait!
The KnightMare’s decided to risk it all for a free dinner at Buca di Beppo Italian restaurant http://www.bucadibeppo.com provided that all teams finish in the top two at the Queen City Classic on Saturday March 31, 2007.
More details at chess club on Sunday. Photos of our outstanding victories are posted at:

Well done kids!
Knight Mare?? Whatever happened to the tradition of having clever team names, like Morphy’s Law, You Rook Marvelous, No Pawn Intended, Bent on Larseny, or something like that?
Knight Mare??
KnightMare is a fine name.
I bet the previous poster likes to feel offended a lot too.
KnightMare is an awesome name! It gives me Nightmare 🙂
I bet the previous poster likes to invent facts out of thin air.
Your headline is WRONG!
The Knight Mare team did NOT win 10 year old and under section. The Kentucky Knights did with a score of 12.5. The Evansville Scholastic Chess Club was in second place with a score of 12.0.
Please correct your headline.
