Members of the Texas Tech Knight Raiders (Brett James, Zach Haskin, Ananya Roy, and Rebecca Lelko) earned the Lubbock Boys and Girls Club Program Excellence Award. They donate their time weekly to help teach chess to young boys and girls at the Lubbock Boys and Girls Club.
They are also involved in many other community outreach projects. This is the tradition of excellence for members of the Knight Raiders Chess Team, in addition to getting excellent grades (many of the Knight Raiders are on the Dean’s List and Honors’ College.) I am very proud of all of them for representing Texas Tech and SPICE so well!
