Though I tend to like Mr Kasparov…I’m wise enough to know he certainly is not a diplomat. Why Mr Karpov would even want the position interests me a bit..but Mr Karpov has always lacked..the “Sexy” factor. He obviously would be qualified in terms of experience and I doubt he’d be visiting a bunch of “Pariah” regimes and publicising it. (Nobody is that stupid..ofh wait..somebody is)..but ..the problem is the corruption. Mr I pays for his votes. That’s just the sad reality of Fide. The only person who will replace Mr (I’ve met Aliens and want to put up a tower at ground central in NY) is someone with more money than he has. It’s just a simple truth. Buy the votes. There is nothing democratic going on with Fide.
For a good few years now Susan, ever since I have been coming here in fact. I would choose you, you have a generous nature and you share with pleasure but most of all you are a GM. The fact that the president of FIDE is not a GM, does not make any sense at all. The fact that the tiny country of Lichtenstein has the same voting rights in FIDE, as India China and Russia is crazy.
