Grandmasters Alina Kashlinskaya and Boris Savchenko have emerged winners of the Moscow Rapid Championships that were held on 11-12th April at the Russian State Social University.
Alina Kashlinskaya and Dina Drozdova shared the first place in the women’s section with 7,0/9 points each. Kashlinskaya is declared champion on better tie-break score. WFM Anna Gvanceladze is third (also on tie-break) with 6,5 points.
In the men’s section Boris Savchenko dominated the field and convincingly won with 8,0/9 points, point and a half ahead of the second-placed IM David Paravyan. GM Vladimir Belous is third (on tie-break) with 6,0 points.
Top four players from each section qualified for the Russian Rapid Championships.
