Jan 27, 2011 11:51 Moscow Time
Ex-world chess champion Anatoly Karpov of Russia and India’s chess world master Viswanathan Anand will be playing multiple games in Spain on February 1.
They will play their first game at Atocha Railway Station in Madrid, and after that, they will board a Madrid-Valencia train, where each will play 10-board simuls during a 350-km journey that will last an hour and a half.
The tournament will end in Valencia.

Karpov rocks.
Is it just me or do other people notice the shameless bias of Russian and East European media towards Anand?
For eg., in this report, Karpov is the “Ex-world chess champion” and Anand is “India’s chess world master” (NOT world champion, NOT Grandmaster, NOT world number 1).
I am not Indian BTW, but still a Vishy-fan. Is there anybody nicer, gentler and smarter than Vishy in today’s chess world? Then why this bias?
Vishy’s momma is nicer.
“chess world master” ? Well I guess they do mean ‘World Chess Champion’ but can’t quite muster the courage to say that!!
