Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Harika has done quite well in the tournament.Probably she is still unbeaten. She is not likely to win the tournament but it is great that she drew with the leader going great guns. Also she is ahead of Hou Yifan.
Where do we get the games?
Same request.
Where do we get the games? (PGN file)
Best regards
Stef
Tournament leader Wenjun Ju, with the White pieces, is capable of walking over Zhu Chen in the last round, but with a full point lead going into the final round, will probably play it safe. Both Nadezdha Kosintseva and Dronavalli Harika are only one point behind Wenjun Ju, so the last round game between Nadezdha Kosintseva (White) versus World Champion Hou Yifan should be interesting, as well as the last round game between Anna Zatonskih (White) verses Dronavalli Harika (Black).
For prof.S.G.Bhat and for Stef:

I hadn’t seen Harika play before this tournament. She has been very impressive.

Very gentle, Lucymarie.
Thank you very much.

Thank you Lucymarie for the information. As an Indian I have been partial to Harika and Koneru.Among Indians they were in the forefront in women’s chess championship last year.Harika lost in quarter finals.Koneru lost to Hou Yifan in semifinal.Harika was undefeated in commonwealth and south African open upto 10th round 8/10.she seems to have lost in final round which is not recorded in “Chessgames.com”. According to me she is overcautious and unwilling to take risks.I have been critical of her taking short game draw with a compatriot. That stunts the growth and you lag behind others. Please see my comments in chessgames.com under the name “thickhead”.
Both Wenjun and Harika drew and take winner and runner up positions.14 move draw does not auger well for Harika but it has assured her 2nd place. 33 move draw by Wenjun must have been made after Harika drew the game as Harika was the only one to catch up with her for joint 1st place by winning her game.Earlier round saw N.Kosintseva falling to 3rd place after she drew her pending game.
I am extremely sorry for my criticism about Harika. it was a great moment in her life to become GM and could not have thrown it away by going for an outright win.I thought it was a normal tournament and she should have tried for joint 1st position.
