Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
now this looks very drawish
Anand trying to trade Queens to hurry the draw along.
I can’t wait until Kramnik destroys him.
Carlsen wins a lot of games and in some of the others he has been very fortunate, and even now he trails Anand!
He must be doing something right out there.
Btw, Kramnik himself is known for trading queens quickly – remember Kasparov-Kramnik match 2000!
Trading queens doesn’t make positions easier: this is a dogma for players of lower level.
Trading Queens can absolutely make your position easier depending on the situation in the game.
To blindly make that statement definitely shows that it was posted by a “Vishy” fan.
And …. yes … I remember the 2000 match that Kramnik …. WON.
And … he won in actual match play and not through a ridiculous round-robin tournament.
