On the 18th of June, the World Junior Champion GM Ipatov performed the highest bungee jump, flying from the 233 meters high Macau Tower.

GM Ipatov comments, “This was the craziest thing I have done! I did it not only to challenge myself, but also to show that chess players are not only the guys who are spending all their time at chess board.” The World Junior Champion added, “Chess lacks of marketing nowadays so maybe this is one of the ways how to attract sponsor’s attention to chess” and he was right as the news hit the mainstream media in Hong Kong.
