The arbiter seminar is a requirement for individuals seeking recognition as a FIDE Arbiter. An examination is given on the final day of the series which requires a minimum score of 80%.

The seminar schedule is as follows:

The seminar will take place over the course of 4 weekend dates, with 3 days of lectures and 1 day of the exam. The dates and times are as follows:

  • 10‐July‐2010 beginning at 10:00 Chicago time until 15:00 Chicago time (lecture)
  • 11‐July‐2010 beginning at 10:00 Chicago time until 15:00 Chicago time (lecture)
  • 17‐July‐2010 beginning at 10:00 Chicago time until 15:00 Chicago time (lecture)
  • 18‐July 2010 beginning at 10:00 Chicago time until 13:00 Chicago time (exam)

The Chief Lecturer will be the FIDE’s Chairman of the Arbiters Commission and International Arbiter, Mr. Panagiotis Nikolopoulos. The Assistant Lecturer will be International Arbiter and International Organizer, Sevan A. Muradian.

Upon completion of the seminar a full report will be delivered during the FIDE Congress in Khanty-Mansiysk to the Arbiters Commission.
