Montenegro Chess Federation organizes the International Chess Open Tournament Cetinje 2016, from 4 to 10 May 2016, on the occasion of 10 years of renewal of the independence of Montenegro.

Cetinje, the old capital of Montenegro – the city museum, is only 30 km from Budva, the center of Montenegro’s tourism, and 30 km from the capital Podgorica. The airports Tivat (49km) and Podgorica (42km) are nearby.

The tournament will be played according to 9-round Swiss System, with the time control 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move. The tournament is also a qualifier for the Championship of Montenegro 2016.

The total prize fund of the event is 6.750 EUR, including regular prizes (5.000 EUR) and special prizes. The first prize is 1.250 EUR.

Full board prices: single room 30 EUR, double room 25 EUR. A tourist tax is included in the price.
