13 year old FM Darwin Yang has scored his first IM norm with 2 rounds to spare. After leading the tournament after 4 rounds with 3 points, Yang suffered back to back losses to GM Becerra and IM Ippolito.
He bounced back this round to beat GM Kraai with the black pieces to earn his IM norm. He still has an outside chance for a GM norm.
