Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Congrats from the entire Maryland chess scene!
Does that mean he got in second?!
andy kaufman alive playing chess?!! other than that why are we supposed to care?
From USCF web:
‘Some people wondered how many prospective women players might be lost just due to reluctance to admit being over fifty ; I guess that’s something we will never know. The tournament is well-run, and there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby, so if my results turn bad, I’ll probably have only myself to blame. Anyway, five more rounds to go, and all the (relatively) easy pairings are in the past.’
It’s live on http://www.chessorg.de/live/tfd.htm
The official website doesn;t have last round results, but here we do!!
“Does that mean he got in second?!”
Who knows?
While Susan’s summary indicates Uhlmann won to join the tie for first, USCF reports Uhlmann lost. Who is correct?
By sharing first, does he still receive the GM title (which seems crazy)?
