The 3rd Balta Albastra Ed Cup 2014 was organized by the Chess Club “Bicazul” and SC Tavias SRL Bacău on 4-7th December 2014 in Letea Veche, a commune in Bacău County, Romania.
The event was a 7-round Swiss tournament, valid for FIDE and Romanian rating, with tempo of play 90′ + 30″.
Moldovan players IM Sergei Bargan and GM Vasile Sanduleac shared first place with 6/7 points, but Bargan prevailed on a better tie-break score and took the trophy.
Romanian IM Lucian Filip emerged cleared third on 5.5 points. You can see the full standings below.
