Use incrementals (or decrementals) if digital clocks are available to avoid rulings under FIDE article 10.2. So it’s not going to be exactly 7, 6, 5 hours if you use increments, but close enough. Although as a CC player, I guess I could have said:

At the risk of incurring the wrath of fans of more classical time controls, why not G30 but with more games – For example, rather than 12 “classical” games, play 48 G30 (2 sessions of 2 games per day, 12 days of play)
The Ideal Time control depends on how often we need to go to the toilet. For everyone it’s different. No ideal, therefore.
Replacing classical games with multiple rapid games will lead to much lower playing quality and a greater chance of blunders. It will be harder for players to find the best ideas over the board and may lead to positions being mis-played.
It will also make it harder for good players to play brilliantly or ordinary players to learn from their games.
for world championship 40/2 20/1 SD/1 + 30sec for all moves for US / World championship
Weekend swiss 40/2 SD/1 + 5 second delay for all time controls, basically anything much shorter for amateurs is just bad chess
