Houdini is clearly better.
I agree. All you have to do is download Houdini & play it against Rybka4. But what I want to know is why Houdini doesn’t appear on popular rating lists (apart from IPON).
Is Rybka still alive playing against Houdini?
Having done some research, Houdini is now beginning to be included in some rating lists (except CCRL). Do a search & you’ll find there’s a lot of politics on inclusion of engines in the rating list. I’m sure Susan’s under some pressure to remove the link to this match!
On the match itself, the first 8 games went 6-2 in Houdini’s favour. The next 8 games were tied at 4-4, which I find strange.
Based on my own tests, the faster the time control, the more likely Houdini will win. Try a 3 min blitz match between the 2 engines & see the result!
