Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Wow.!
It would be Amazing if she wins this tournament. She need at least one more point to have a shot at winning the tournament.
Very Impressive! And when you take account her age…we might be witnissing something very wonderful here! yay! Best of luck to all.
Michel.
Glad Mickey and Nigel are doing well too!
Despite Nigels rants…He makes me laugh sometimes and I enjoy his crazyness.
Oh yea…and to the troll that usually graces your comments page…
Nakamura would win this!..haha..
The game against Polgar, yes… but this one? Come on… Hou was fighting for a draw before Liem terrible blunder.
Peoplel blunder because they’re under pressure. The kid is learning that. I agree…the computers say even….but that’s got nothing to do with the Human element. Just look at Carlsen Topalov last week..there is more to Chess than simple Math. Its a little more complicated than that. I never hope for anyone to lose..just like a great game..but Hou is discovering Psychological pressure..nice addition. Just my opinion.
When you’re the new kid on the block..you always have an advantage. That’s why players can’t play speculative..Tal (and early Kasparov sort of chess) like chess all their lives..people figure em out. But Hou at the moment is such a player..and everyone is afraid to lose against her..and THAT”S important in a sporting way to know. And I have a feeling she knows it. She’s simply using everything she’s got…and doing quite well. I’ve never seen anyobody in History be able to keep it up forever…but those short bursts of brilliance are always nice to see. And I’ll go down on record to predict ..Carlsen will no longer be playing chess 2 or 3 years from now. He’s done it all and I think his wonderful imagination will need to move on to bigger and better things. Oh yeah..and Nakamura could have won this..(I think its sort of funny..haha)
Best everyone.
Michel
Wow, Judith lost to another woman.
Judith opponents have always played 100-200 points below their true strength we faced with her beauty and charm.
Judy’s good looks had no impact on Hou. Matter of fact it looks like Judy was off her game and pressed a bit to hard.
It looks like we have two queens of chess for the next few years.
Now that Hou has matured into a beautiful good looking woman, she should collect the 100 point rating bonus for her hypnotic effect on males.
I smell the makings of a high profile, big dollar match for the Woman’s WC.
Nigel is an obnoxious character.. things too big of himself.. eg .. read Miles’ obituary..holds the record for the steepest fall from top 10 which means he did not belong there in the first place.. Had good trainers like Nunn etc..
