Johann Hjartarson is the 2016 Icelandic Champion

Johann Hjartarson today became the 2016 Icelandic champion. Heading into the last round he was leading the tournament with fellow GM Hedinn Steingrimsson.
In the last round however Steingrimsson was held by Einar Hjalti Jensson which left the door open for Johann. He came out of the opening well prepared and never let go of his advantage against his namesake Johann Ingvason.
