After long flights from Texas to London then Aberdeen, I finally arrived Scotland for the Chess in the Schools and Communities International Conference.
This is my first time in Scotland and it is quite nice. Aberdeen is about the size of Lubbock, Texas, just a little colder 🙂 The delegation from the US includes Dr. Tim Redman of UTD and Jerry Nash, Scholastic Director of the USCF. I am looking forward to meeting others from around the world.
Chess in the Schools and Communities International Conference (CISCCON)
30 August – 1 September 2007
King’s College Conference Centre, University of Aberdeen
Here is the official website.
How many air-miles do you clock up in a year, and what do you think about the current fashion to declare on ‘carbon offsetting’?
I hope the Aberdeen event is both objective and creative.
