I have known about Kasparov – Nakamura teaming up for a while now. But since it was not revealed publicly by either party before, it was not my place to talk about it. Personally speaking, I think it is great to have a patron like Mr. Rex Sinquefield helping U.S. chess.
What do you think about the idea of Kasparov training Nakamura?
Great idea! Nakamura will become World Champion because of this help.
Great idea! But I am not sure how much it will help.
Makes no difference. Nakamura already has enough talent.
Makes no difference. Their personalities will clash.
I have no clue and I can’t decide one way or the other.
Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Perhaps Nakamura is helping Kasparov making a comeback?
The only thing that can keep Nakamura’s big ego in check is the even bigger ego of Kasparov.
Hopefully, this will help mature the American…and get him to lay off the Orange Juice during games.
Great news! Finally, computers are power tools but Nakamura needs a wily veteran GM to show help him take the final steps to become world champion.
Actually I agree with the free aforementioned anonymous comments. But the first thing that came to my mind: Magnus pissed him off, already…
Carlsen kissed him off; I guess he’s just for sale to the highest bidder. What that says for the state of chess these days – well, I have my own opinion on that.

I think there should be a middle option between the two good idea options. It’s definitely a good idea, and I definitely think it will help his game, but I’m not sure if he’s sure to become World Champion with Kasparov’s help.
Hi Susan Polgar,
Well,I know not the personal characteristics of neither one,so my opinion is purely based on skills exhibited by “Kasprov” in chess board game only.
To me,its a great idea to get trained in chess by “Kasprov” that will add vigor to “Nakamura’s” so called attacking chess(I haven’t analyzed his chess game),as well help “Nakamura” to identify the moments to be at patients in chess.
Opponents who play chess against those actively trained by “Kasprov” needs to keenly analysis the moves before they(Opponent)attempt to make their moves to succeed in the chess game.
[ Note : All these opinion of mine about “Kasprov”,is just well within the confines of chess only.
I don’t know “kasprov’s” personal characteristics & interest and his willingness/ability to blend with his chess students.]
In chess,as of living legends are concerned – If “kasprov” is in full form in chess then only one can compete and successfully complete the chess game thats none other than “Anand” the world champion.
I didn’t say this, just because “Anand” is from my home city – its purely because “Anand” has all ability to counter & excel over the skills of “Kasprov” successfully.
Conclusively, getting trained by “Kasprov” adds skills in chess but winning titles purely depends on timely applying the overall gathered experience and training through common sense.

makes no difference neither Kasparov or Nakamura have ever beaten WCF World Champion Vaughan and have no chance to beat him in a match under WCF auspices.
