The 2nd Montigny Masters Chess Tournament 2014 was organized by La Dame Noire (Black Queen) Chess Clubon 18-26th October 2014 in Martigny, France.

The event was a 10-player round-robin tournament, including 2 GMs, 1 IM and 6 FMs.

Bulgarian GM Vladimir Petkov stormed through the tournament, scoring 8/9 points and leaving the nearest followers full 3 (!) points behind. He drew only two games and deservedly lifted the trophy.

Second place was shared in a four-way tie by French FM Yannick Kambrath, Russian IM Anastasia Savina, French FM Sebastien Joie and Bulgarian GM Nikolai Ninov on 5 points each.

Meanwhile, the 13th edition of the traditional Montigny Autumn Tournament gathered another ten players to compete in a round-robin system.

French player Marc Plantet prevailed with 6.5/9 points, followed by his compatriots Cyrille Fruchard, Nicolas Forissier and Cyprien Veron on 6 points each. You can see the full standings below.
