Former U.S. Champion Grandmaster Yury Shulman turns 35 today. He was born on April 29, 1975.

He recently shared with us some of his thoughts about the World Championship match between Anand and Topalov:

As for the predictions – I do not like to make those – although I would like Vishy to win again.

Home field is always an advantage (But having a sponsor for the match is also a great deal of work for the Bulgarians!)

Such age difference is irrelevant but the physical shape is important.

The age vs. experience is always a question. The experience is like a crutch – it helps one to walk, but prevents him from running!
