Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Felicitations Champ! I am so glad Gata has won a spot! I love his style of play and his games, always a fight to win. I did the wall chart in 1993 US Championship and only did Gata’s games! My picture even came out in NIC on the tournament when they took a picture of Gata. I hope Gata becomes World Champion one day.
world Champ would be nice. I thought he would make it for sure when young. But now he has to get some practice.
Gata if you are there, my opinion is that Topalov cheated at Mtel last year and stole the title from you. He won the last 4 games. Make sure Danailov is watched closely this year. Topalov’s TPR when Danailov is not near is terrible.
I hope I am wrong but he now as TPR’s of 2620 Morilia 2006, 2645 Essent, 2690 Morila-Linares 2007.
