Chess master Glenn Bady will take on 20 players at once

Chess, anyone? A United States Chess Federation master is looking to take on 20 players – simultaneously – at the Conshohocken Free Library this Saturday.
The outdoor event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and all ages and skill levels are welcome.
Dubbed a “simul,” May 2’s competition will feature USCF master Glenn Bady, founder of the Philadelphia-based Challenging Heads Chess Program. Bady’s been playing since he was a teen, and, he promises, win, lose or draw, “People should have a good time.”
“I’ve done simuls at the Princeton and Glenside libraries, and right now I’m 19-1 for both,” he chuckles. “This time, I’m going for 20-0. It’s an experience, no matter how it turns out. You actually get kind of dizzy after a while, but it’s a lot of fun…fun for people to watch, too.”
The Philadelphia native established CHCP in 1996 and says his method “introduces students to the basics of chess, including chess pieces, piece values and legal piece movement through interactive classroom instruction (and) concentrates on developing tactical abilities with an emphasis on understanding basic end game positions.”
