Georgian chess player wins silver in Women Chess Masters championship in China’s Wuxi

The Georgian chess player Bela Hotenashvili took second place and won the silver medal at an international women’s tournament Women Chess Masters in the Chinese city of Wuxi, Georgia Online reports.

The tournament hosted eight Chinese women and two Europeans – Maria Muzychuk (Ukraine) and Bela Hotenashvili (Georgia). Throughout the largest part of the tournament, one of the strongest chess players of China, Zhao Xue, kept the leadership.

During the tournament the Georgian chess player won 4 games, played 4 times with a zero-zero score and lost one game to the future winner of the tournament, Zhao Xue.
