Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
See Susan the traditional guys can create new positions but they dont have the actual Transboard Knight Strategem therefore they are incomplete, so its just a matter of time before they lose all their pins and medals that they hold in high esteem.
Gelfands wig isn’t a winner, though.
Susan, can you please recommend him a new coiffeur?
I’m sure that getup scares the hell out of his opponents.
It’s wonderful to see Boris Gelfand with the highest score in this youth versus experience match. One doesn’t see players like him staying near the top at his age much any more. It is practically inconceivable for this to happen nowadays. But it was inconceivable that Lasker would place 3rd in Moscow in 1935 at the age of 66, with only Botvinnik and Flohr ahead of him, and scoring better than Capablanca, Spielmann, and a whole host of strong Soviets. Speaking as a 66-year old myself, it is a pleasure to see experience, in the form of Boris Gelfand, defeating all these youngsters. Chess and music keep the mind alive.
