The 25th Torneo Internacional de Ajedrez “San Lorenzo” was be played on Saturday 3rd August at the Círculo Oscense, Pza. Navarra, 4 – Huesca, Spain.

The registered players amounted to 128, all coming from different communities of Spain and foreign countries. The tournament was hard-fought and had a lot of changes at the top, but finally, IM Sergio Garza Marco took first place with 7.5 points and the best tiebreak score.

Second place, also with 7.5 points, went to Argentine IM Pablo Glavina Rossi. The third place at the podium was given to the current champion of Aragon, David Lana Rodriguez, who obtained 7 points.

The highlight of this year’s edition was the big amount of participants, a lot of them very young but experienced. Some champions of Spain were among them: Ainhoa Ortin Blanco (Cat. U-12); María Eizaguerri Floris (Cat. U-10) and Marta Roldán Marques (Cat. U-8).

The prize fund was 3150 EUR, with 500 EUR reserved for the winner.
