1….Qh6
2 fxg4 Qxe3+
3 Rf2 Qe4
Pawn D4xE3 looks strong…
1. ….Qh6
2. fg4 Qe3
3. Rf2 Be1
4. Qc2 d3
5. Qb2 d2
6. Qd2 Bd2 (if 6. Nd2 Qf2#)
DavidY may have found the shorter win. I was thinking the king could escape in this line by moving to f1 after Rf2, but I forgot about blacks rook at f8.
1.Qh6 fxg4
2.Qc6 is more beautiful
After 1…Qh6, 2. fxg4 Qc6 is too easy. The following should also be considered.
2. h4 Qxe3+ 3. Kg2 Qe2+ 4. Kh3 Bc8, and wins.
2. Qc2 offers the best resistance. 2… Qxe3 3. Kg2, things are tougher, even though …Rc8 followed by …Rc1 seems to win due to mate threats.
