Carlsen is playing for a win and Dominguez is not back off. There are plenty of fireworks in this game.
Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar

++++
27. Nxh5 Qxg1 #
I suspect Susan is busy. Dominguez has the edge but the Nh5 is not as good as it was on move 27.
My prediction is that Carlsen will be done by a past pawn again.
Anon 1024: can’t play 27…Qxg1 after 26…Qxe4.
That was Black’s mistake 🙂
36. g6 looked good
DRAWN.
Carlsen games are like Kasparov games used to be…always fireworks and very entertaining…
Another similarity between Carlsen and Kasparov:
Carlsen also applies opening lines that were considered second rate and give them new impulses.
Kasparov: Tarrasch, Scotch…
Carlsen: Aljechin, Dragon…
Dominguez could have played on to try to win as he was still better with no risk at the end- but agreed a draw as that is all he needed. In an earlier round Carlsen would not have been let off, and Onischuk would have been let off in the R+N vs R endgame probably if it were a last round when a draw is all that needed.
Get it?
Then say it backwards..

Do not have a computer here but I doubt that Dominguez had real winning chances in the final position of the game. However, no risk of losing either. Impressive performance by the Cuban, did not lose a asingle game yet – and I doubt this will change tomorrow against Bacrot, who seems to be in a somewhat peaceful mood after having returned to 50% after his three-game winning streak.
the comments were as exciting as the game … ARGHH !!1
