Even though the Texas Tech University Knight Raiders A team only needed a tie in the final round to make the Final Four, our players fought hard all the way until the end. The game between Elliot Liu (Stanford) and Davorin Kuljasevic (TTU) was the next to last to finish in the last round. Kuljasevic won and Texas Tech beat Stanford 3.5 – 0.5.

Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
This is the only way to play chess.
We noted that the USCF website did not mention the fact that Texas Tech brought three teams to the tournament – referring only to “Texas Tech” rounding out the final four, instead of “Texas Tech- A team”.
If USCF can’t be fair to all players due to personal issues within its leadership then something needs to change.
PS Awesome job, Knight Raiders!
Any news on where the tournament is being held next year?
The idiots from the USCF decided to have it in frozen Wisconsin in December instead of Florida or Texas. Morons!
