The FIDE World Youth & Cadets Championship 2015 continued with round 8 here in Porto Carras, Halkidiki.

Mosadeghpour Masoud conceded a first draw in the Open U18 but he still remained half a point ahead of GM Alekseenko Kirill.

WFM Mahalakshmi M with 7,0 points in the Girls U18 section has extended her lead to a full point ahead of the large group of followers.

FM Fawzy Adham is still alone on the top in the Open U16 group, but in the Girls U16 the long-time leader WFM Abdusattorova Bakhora lost, and now WFM Kiolbasa Oliwia and WFM Sieber Fiona are on the shared first place.

In the Open U14 there is finally a single leader as FM Esipenko Andrey won his game to surge ahead in the standings. In Girls U14 WFM Vaishali R also moved into sole lead with the same number of points.

Top seed in Open U12, FM Abdusattorov Nodirbek, was held to a draw but nevertheless he remained leader with 7,0 points. In Girls U12 WFM Salimova Nurgyul broke the lock on the top by winning her 8th round game to move into sole lead.

In the Open U10 Oglaza Oskar joined Wang Justin on the shared first place with 7,0 points each. The earlier leader in the Girls section, WCM Mungunzul Bat-Erdene, was defeated and now Lomaia Diana and Song Yuxin are on the top of the rankings.

The Indian players are still topping the U8 sections. Bharath Subramaniyam H is in charge in the Open section with 7,5 points. Savitha Shri B is first among the Girls with 7,0 points.
