Evaluate this position. It’s Black to move. Breaking News Black to move. Can Black win this position? Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
c3 looks winning….
Rxb2!
(has to be something
spectacular)
..rxb2 looks interesting, dont know how to stop one of two c pawns from queening.
Maybe ..c3 is also a forced win ?
– Vinay
1. … Rxb2 wins for black. 2. Nxb2 c3 3. Nd3 c4+
Kamal, that’s only half the story 🙂
1…Rxb2 2. Nxb2 c3 3. Rxb6 (not Nd3) 🙂 Now what? 🙂

It could be 3. Rxb6 c4! Isn’t it impossible to stop the pawn promoting then ?
Susan Polgar, did not see 3. Rxb6 🙂
But, Misa seems to be right 3. … c4 should do the trick?
1. … Rxb2!
2. Nxb2 c3
3. Rxb6! …
and 3. …c4 looks very fine but seemingly it is not the last move to be found by black 🙂
3. …c4!
4. Rb4! …
and the only winning move is
4. … a5!!
(lot’s of exclamation marks …)
could you explain more?
– Vinay
1… Rxb2
2. Nxb2 c3
3. Rxb6! c4!
4. Rb4! a5!!
(4… cxb2? 5. Rxb2 +-) (4… c2? 5.
Rxc4 +-)
5. Rb5 c2! -+ and the pawn passes
(5… cxb2? 6. Rxb2 +-)
(5… a4? 6. Rb4 +-)
hopefully enough explanation – sincerly, anonym
Hello everybody! This position is very famous and it’s incredible!
Ortueta-Sanz.
