The European Team Chess Championship is one of the biggest and most prestigious chess events in the world. This year the ETCC is organized by the Polish Chess Federation and will be held from 7th (day of arrival) to 18th (day of departure) of November 2013 in the Novotel Warszawa Centrum Hotel in Warsaw, Poland.

The Championship is the most important chess event in Poland since 1935. The President of the Republic of Poland – Bronisław Komorowski took honorary patronage and many Polish celebrities agreed to be a member of Honorary Committee.

The City of Warsaw and Ministry of Sport and Tourism have given the Polish Chess Federation a significant support since a bid procedure.

First time in the history of this tournament all games will be broadcast on-line on the Internet.

Till now 67 national teams confirmed their participation in the Championship.

The official venue of the Championship – Novotel Warszawa Centrum Hotel, is located in the very heart of Warsaw, only a few steps away from the famous Palace of Culture and Science.
