European Individual Chess Championship to host 350 players

PanARMENIAN.Net – The European Individual Championship 2012 will take place in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) on March 20-31.

Armenian grandmasters Sergei Movsesian, Vladimir Akopian, Gabriel Sargissian, Tigran L. Petrosian, Robert Hovhannisyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, Zaven Andriasian, Arman Pashikian, Hrant Melkumyan, as well as international masters Hovhannes Gabuzyan and Vladimir Poghosyan will participate in the tournament.

The event bringing together 350 players will be organized in 11-round Swiss system in accordance with the ECU Tournament Rules and FIDE Laws of Chess.

The rate of play will be 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from move one.
