That was a great game by GM Wesley So against GM Anton Kovalyov (Canada’s # 1 & who came late in the game :d). Wesley’s end game was superb & he plays with precision as almost every move he made, its the # 1 move as recommended by Stockfish (Perhaps Wesley So & Stockfish are related lol) Playing under severe time pressure (for the 3rd straight game -Ivanchuck, Yam & Kovalyov), Wesley So managed to outplay Kovalyov with his precision-guided moves… At the end game & very critical stage, Wesley was practically playing at 30 seconds increment per move while Kovalyov has still more than 7 minutes time remaining… Just that Kovalyov blundered in at least 3 or 4 times in the last few moves… It was a great ending and nerve wracking. People with heart problems would have died already but Wesley So played with so much maturity like elite players. Still a work-in-progress but all these THANKS to his coach Susan Polgar – truly your the 2014 Fide Top Trainer of the World. Keep up the great work & God Bless.
Please dont do that again Wesley So, your killing your fans with those nerve wracking, suspense and precision guided moves, your causing your fans sleepness nights its dawn already and we still not sleeping LOL That was a great game and an excellent end game tactic/strategy… imagine playing with a 30 seconda increment per move against someone with a plus 7 minutes in a very pressure pack and tricky end game… yet you did not panick and played almost exactly what stickfish recommended… Your like Ivanchuck you think very deeply and foresee things in advance before you move but always run on time trouble but still end up winning the match lol Thanks to your coach, Susan Polgar. From number 98 in the world, now number 12 in two years time only. Imagine the possibilities. I hope NCFP will LET Wesley So GO, his in good hands. Unless NCFP wants to destroy and ruine Wesley So career by holding him back.
