And again, GM Wesley So end game tactic/strategy did it again. A good win and great work out against an untitled Alex Yam. Yam played like an super/hydra GM standing toe-to-toe with Wesley. This is perhaps the best game Alex Yam played in his entire chess career… good opening, excellent middle game but poor end game. Yam plays sharp until he blundered on the end game due to time pressure. Untitled players are dangerous as they have nothing to lose. To Alex Yam nothing to be ashamed off at least you stand toe-to-toe with a Hydra GM and ranked 15 in the world for 80% of the game until you blundered in crucial minutes of the game, great experience for you.
