I thought about playing
1) f5, Ne3;
2) Qh5, Nxe1;
3) Rxe1, Bd7;
but now I don’t understand how to going on…
maybe 4) f6, …; and then?
Luigi
1. f5, ne3
2. Qh5, Nxf1
3. Rxf1
Now if 3… Bd7
4. f6, Bxf6
5. Rxf6, gf
6. Bxf6 with the threat of 7. Qg5+
If 3. … g6
4. Qh6, f6
5. fg +/=
The first moves are logical:
1.f5! Ne3
2.Qf3 Nxf1
3.Rxf1 Bd7
Then comes the hard one to find (4.f6 only leads to draw):
4.Bxg7! Kxg7
[in case of 4. …Qxa5 wins 5.Bc3!]
5.f6+ Bxf6
6.Qxf6+ Kg8
7.Rf3! Bg4 (the only one…)
8.Rg3 h5
9.h3 Rb8
[9. … Qxa5 10.hxg4 h4 leads to mate after 11.Qg4+]
10.Nab3 with winning position
How about this…
1.f5 Bf5 2.Rf5 Ne5 3.Be5 de5 4.Re5 Qa5 5.Re7 and White is up a piece.
I suppose, that the key move is 1. f5!
17.f5 Ne3
18.Qh5 with a strong attack
for example
18…Nxf1
19.Rxf1 Bd7
20.f6 Bxf6
21.Rxf6 Rae8
22.Qg5 Re7
23.Re6 f6
24.Rxe7 fxg5
25.Rxg7+ Kh8
26.Rg6 Rf6
27.Bxf6 mate
It’ll would be very nice if you could be my followers. TQ
White seems to do pretty good anyway, but if there’s a ‘tactic’ now then it will start with 1.f5 and threatening to win a piece. Then 1..Ne3 seems forced to me. Then maybe 2.Qf3 Nf1: 3.Rf1 Bd7 and now I think 4.Bg7: could work. Blacks’ pieces are so far away that White should be able to kill the black king before Black can regroup. Maybe 4..Kg7 5.f6 Kh8 6.fe7: and Black is crushed.
I like
1. Rf3
it guards e3 and threatens Rg3
Raf1 and eventually f5
f-5!?
I’ve worked out a line that may be correct….
1. f6 Ne3
2. Qf3 Nxf1
3. Rxf1 Bd7
4. Bxg7 Kxg7
5. f6+ Bxf6
6. Qxf6+ Kg8
7. Rf3+-
On a second look, an immediate f5 might be good for white:
1. f5 Ne3
2. Qh5 Nf1
3. Rf1 Bd7
4. Rf3 with the threat of Rg3
or Rh3 along with f6. An exchange sacrifice with a powerful attack.
y hardone looks simple
The f5 lines with Qf3 look better than my choice of Qh5.
What happens on
1.f5 Ne3
2.Qf3 Nxf1
3.Rxf1 Bxf5
4.?xf5 f3
?
Too many variations for the F5 move to work – not worth losing a rook for a knight with black having several potential outs.
The priority should be getting that knight off of e3.
I would play Qf3, then pawn to h3 to at least get the knight to back off. Then I’d do pawn to f5 and go from there. When in doubt, be boring and play defense…;)
One Brow (an homage to Ivanchuk?),
What happens? White wins two pieces for rook and pawn.
Yancey,
It’s a college nickname.
Isn’t that nearly an even trade? Does it give white a winning advantage somehow?
