Rf2 makes it equivalent of puzzle posted on 1 July, except that black rook was on a2 in that case. I don’t see that making any difference though.
Rf2 to keep BK out, then march the pawn up. Haven’ t looked at all lines, but it seems black is better off trying to check along files, yet white still wins
eg:
1. Rf2 Rh7+ 2. Kg5 Rg7+ 3. Kh5 Rh7+ 4. Kg6 Rh8 5. g5 Rg8+ 6. Kh6 Rh8+ 7. Kg7 Rh5 8. g6 Rg5 9. Kh6 Rg1 10. g7 Rh1+ 11. Kg6 Rg1+ 12. Kf6 Rg3 13. Rf5 Rg1 14. Rg5 Rf1+ 15. Kg6 and the pawn will queen.
1 .. Rf7 to counter doesn’t work either.
2. Rxf7 Kxf7 3. Kh5 and the pawn will queen.
14.Rg5 Rxg5 15.Kxg5 Kf7 16.Kh6 Kg8 17.Kg6 taking the opposition.
