1.Kg2 and black is in zugzwang- move the king and white will queen a pawn, move pawn and white will win the pawn and black will be in zugzwang again. Rinse repeat.
1. Kg2 f3+
2. Kxf3 Kc7
3. a7 g2
4. Kxg2 h3+
5. Kxh3 Kxc6
6. a8=Q+ Kb5
The first move is obvious.
Curiously, if W’s K were on g2 and White was on move, WHITE would be in zugzwang and could not hold the position. Pawn endings can be very tricky.
Or if it was black’s move in the given position.
The position is one of reciprocal or mutual zugzwang.
Kg2 is the winning move for white.
