Classic smothered mate problem
I IInd Cory.
One of the great joys in playing chess is getting this position and mate on an opponent. One of the agonies in chess is allowing it. Sigh.
1.Qe6+ Kh8 (if 1…Kf8, then 2.Qf7#) 2.Nf7+ Kg8 3.Nh6++ Kh8 (if 3…Kf8, then again 4.Qf7#) 4.Qg8+!! followed by 5.Nf7#. Took me one second to find it.
