When they played in Bahrain, Fritz got nowhere with 1.e4.
fritz will not play 1.e4 because of the Berlin defense.
It will be 1.d4, but this is as useless as 1.e4; the QGA being the drawing equivalent against 1.d4 that the Petroff is against 1.e4. Time for something more obscure such as 1.c4 or 1.Nf3 to avoid the clinical, sterile queen-swapping 20 move drawing lines. Kramnik dreads the queens being on – he just loses!
Well, funny thing is, the game started 1.e4. And when Fritz offered a queen swap at move 13, Kramnik declined (I think he wants in on his own terms…)!
Yes, you are right. Queens off now.
Looks like I was wrong about Fritz’s first move, but pretty right about everything else. Looks like a dead draw to me after 14 moves.
Kramnik threatened a mate in one. Hoping for revenge?? Funny thing is, Fritz saw it!!
+0,54 for Fritz 9 after Bf1
And it seems to grow (+ 0,59)
dead symmetrical draw
Phew!! [wipes brow]
I’m sure glad that K played 21) … R-d8
+0,86 but I do agree it looks solid for Black. Oups… After Nh5 Rae1 looks threatening
why not Re7 now?
Is there a non-audio live coverage of the game anywhere in the net? I mean, with some extensive live commentary move-after-move…
There must surely be, but I cannot find it (even ski-jumping has it! 😉
did fritz fall asleep during this boring game?
“Kramnik dreads the queens being on – he just loses!”
LOL.
