We are pleased to announce that the Turkish Chess Federation has graciously extended special prizes to the FIDE Continental Americas Amateur Chess Championship.

The TCF will provide complimentary the fees for hotel, meals, local transport and entry in the 2011 World Amateur Chess Championship which will be held from Oct 1 – Oct 11 in Antalya, Turkey.

There will be one prize for male participants and one prize for female participants. To be eligible for this prize you must be the top male or top female finisher in the FIDE Continental Americas Amateur Chess Championship AND meet the requirements for the World Amateur Chess Championship. The World Amateur Chess Championship has a rating cap of 2000 (FIDE rating) for the period of 2 years prior to the event.

If you are the top finisher but do not qualify by rating for this prize, the prize will default to the next top finisher.

The winners of this special prize are responsible for their own air transport costs to Antalya, Turkey. Additionally you must confirm your participation no later than July 31, 2011 to the organizer of the FIDE Continental Americas Amateur Chess Championship so we may provide the information to the Turkish Chess Federation.

We thank the generosity of the Turkish Chess Federation and my friend, TCF President and FIDE VP Ali Nihat Yazici for this wondering prize offering.

Best Regards,

Sevan A. Muradian
Chief Organizer and Chief Arbiter
