1. Qh5! gxf6
2. Nxf7+ Rxf7
3. Qxf7 Qxg3
4. fxg3
is up with queen for two knights.
or:
1. … Qh1+ (trying to delay)
2. Ke2 gxf6
3. Nxf7+ Rxf7
4. Qxf7 mates next.
or:
1. … Ng2+
2. Rxg2 Qxh5 (Qxg2? Qxh7#)
3. Nxh5
is up with knight.
Qh5 is easy to spot, but a bit of work to verify:
1. Qh5 Ng2
What other defense is really better? If black tries h6, white just sacrifices the queen in order to mate: [1. …h6 2.Qh6! gh6 3.Nf7 Rf7 4.Rg8#]. Also, the queen check from h1 is pretty impotent since Ke2 pretty much neutralizes it and black will have to give up major material to prevent the mate now. Finally, the other knight check is worse: [1. …Nf3 2.Qf3! wins a piece outright with a still strong attack]. Continuing from 1. …Ng2 above:
2. Rg2! Qh5 (nothing better)
3. Nh5 and white has won a piece.
Let’s see. This was a quick glance so maybe I am missing something:
1.Qh5, h6 (1…Qh1+ Ke2 and there are no more checks)
2.Qxf7, and now:
if 2…Rxf7 3.Nxf7#
if 2…Bc8 moves (other that Be6) 3.Qg8+, Rxg8 4.Nf7#
if 2…Be6 3.Qxe6 and now two moves for black to try and not lose a piece:
3…Rxf6 4.Qxf6 gxf6 5.Nf7#
3…gxf6 4.Nf7+ Rxf7 5.Qxf7 and black will have to give up the queen for the rook in g3
1. Qh5! wins easily….Black Queen check is just 1 move
If 1….h6
2. Qxh6!! gh6
3. Nxf7+!! Rxf7
4. Rg8 mate#
1. Dh5 h6 2. Nxf7+ Rxf7 3. Qxf7 gxf6 4. Qg7/g8#
Qh5?
Qh5
ive gone through a few variations in my head and this is the winning move.. i wonder if anyone ever reads my comments on here..probably not.. im just rambling a bunch of crap nobody reads anyways..
1. Qh5 h6
2. Qxf7 Rd8
3. Qg8+ Rxg8
4. Nf7#
1. Qh5 h6
(1. .. Nf3+ 2. Qxf3 gxf6 3. Qxf6+ Kg8 4. Nxf7+ Qxg3 5. Nh6#)
(1. .. Ng2+ 2. Rxg2 Qxh5 3. Nxh5)
2. Qxh6+
(2. Nxf7+ [ This move order works, too, but I prefer the immediate queen sacrifice. ] 2. .. Rxf7 3. Qxh6+ gxh6 4. Rg8#)
2. .. gxh6 3. Nxf7+ Rxf7 4. Rg8#
Qh5 wins easily!
I like Satya’s and Lucymarie’s solution.
