The chairman of the Tourism Committee in the capital Grigory Antyufeyev reports that a 15×15 meters chessboard with one metre high chess figures will be created in Pushkin Square in Moscow.

According to the Committee’s chairman, the ice project is aimed at holding a chess match between London and Moscow through telebridge. For this purpose a big screen will be set in Pushkin Square and in one of the squares in London.

The project is organized in order to let the British people get acquainted with Russian culture and give them a full idea of the way of life in Moscow. Antyufeyev also explains that the action is undertaken within the festival “Russian winter” in London.
