Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
China rules.
China rules.
Keep this in mind – this is China team 1 vs Russia team 2 and China women team 2 vs Russia women team 1.5. It will be more exciting if both counties send out their best players.
Oh,thanks for the heads up anon 3 they all look pretty much the same lookin at it from an Ultramodern perspective, i really dont see any difference in them anymore in spite of their various ratings, its just some of them are a lil better at executing the old ideas than others is all, Um sure thats why they realize they need to change their ratin system.Susan u know i should have been playin in that basketball game instead of dealin with these guys, i think i wanna get into poker or something after this,Steve Wilkos was funny today! hehehe.
anon3 i just reread ur post what do u mean “Keep this in mind” China movin that knight around like everybody else, right?
Its true I will agree, different results would have been evident if Russia put forth its Team 1 for the Olympiad than a random assortment of players, for both the men’s and women’s team. Russian Men team 1, are no doubts the heavy favourites to win the Olympiad and ditto with the women’s team, considering the performance of the Kosintseva sisters this year.
Russia (men) has 3 teams for the upcoming Olympiad : team 1, team 2 and a local team. Malakhov plays on the last board of team 1 and Vitiugov plays in team 2.
Timofeev, Rublevsky and Potkin don’t even play in team 2.
